This week, I had the opportunity to visit parts of Dreso City in Stuttgart as part of an event organized by the Corporate Real Estate Network (Crenet). The site is the headquarters of Drees & Sommer, a modern and holistic campus concept that combines sustainability, digitalization, and future-oriented working models.
The heart of Dreso City is the main building OWP 12 with a focus on resource conservation and the reusability of materials. The office building was designed according to the cradle-to-cradle principle. When selecting materials, attention was paid to reusability and environmental friendliness. As an energy-plus building, it produces more energy than it consumes during operation.
The campus is supported by the DS HUB OWP 22, which combines innovative working environments and co-working concepts. It serves as an innovation center where new concepts for the construction and real estate industry are developed and tested. An open design and flexible working areas are intended to promote exchange.
Three presentations were given before the tour of the two buildings OWP 12 and DS HUB OWP 22. Sven Mylius explained how modern buildings can specifically promote collaboration. Jakub Mües explained how the principle of the circular economy was consistently implemented in the construction of OWP 12. Hanna Huber presented how artificial intelligence changes the construction and real estate industry.
An event with exciting perspectives for the construction and real estate industry. Many thanks to the organizers.
